SMRT | Single Molecule Real Time sequencing
SMRT sequencing stands for single molecule real time sequencing.
It is a unique sequencing method, that uses zero mode wave guide for sequencing process. Zero mode wave guide (ZMW) is a phenomenon in which light traveling through a pin hole (having diameter less than the wavelength of light) fails to pass through the pin hole. However some portion of electromagnetic energy still exist in small volume near the pin hole. This is known as Zero mode wave-guide. For sequencing purpose the DNA polymerase is immobilized on glass surface near the pin hole. The nucleotides are attached with fluorescence probe. Only those nucleotides that comes under zero mode wave-guide gives fluorescence. This happens when the DNA polymerase tries to add nucleotides on the template DNA.
The color of fluorescence signal gives information about the nucleotide added. As the sequencing here is done in real time manner, this technique is classified under Third generation DNA sequencing method.

SOLID sequencing | Supported oligonucleotide ligation and detection
Переглядів 1,7 тис.Місяць тому
SOLID stands for Supported Oligonucleotide Ligation and Detection. The method uses short 8 mer sequences for the detection of unknown nucleotide in the given template. out of eight, two nucleotide are very specific while the other are degenerate nucleotide. These sequences are attached with a fluorescence probe. Based on the color of fluorescence we find the unknown sequence.
Inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy
Переглядів 3,1 тис.2 місяці тому
Inductively coupled plasma emission spectroscopy (ICP-ES) is an amazing technique, that uses plasma for the detection of elements in the sample. The plasma is generated by argon gas. Using RF coils alternating magnetic filed is generated. Under the influence of this magnetic field, the argon ions gets accelerated and moves under circular path. The accelerated argon ions collides with other argo...
Analytical centrifuge

Analytical centrifuge commonly known as analytical ultra centrifuge is a centrifuge machine that can detect movement of sample molecules during centrifugation. For this the machine uses a vertical tube rotor which is transparent from the top and the bottom. The centrifuge tube placed in the rotor is also transparent. The light is allowed to pass through the bottom of the rotor the light coming ...
Beta sheet
Переглядів 6404 місяці тому
Beta Pleated sheet is one of the common secondary structure of protein found in nature. the beta pleated sheet are of two types. Parallel and antiparallel beta sheet. Both differs in their arrangement of C terminal and N terminal ends, hydrogen bonding and stability.
Alpha Helix
Переглядів 1 тис.4 місяці тому
The alpha helix is one of the most common secondary structure of proteins or polypeptide chain, found in the nature. In this structure the amino acids are arranged in the form of twisted coil, known as the alpha helix. The helical structure is stabilized by the presence of hydrogen bonds.

Abbe's equation and Numerical aperture
Переглядів 1,2 тис.6 місяців тому
Abbe was a scientist who gave the mathematical equation to calculate resolution of microscope. In this equation the denominator n sin alpha, is termed as the numerical aperture. By definition the numerical aperture is the product of refractive index and light gathering ability of objective lens.
Chromatic Aberration
Переглядів 4,3 тис.7 місяців тому
Chromatic Aberration is the phenomenon in which the edge of convex lens acts as a prism and splits white light into seven colors. This results in annoying colors in the image. To solve the problem of chromatic aberration the objective lenses are corrected. These corrected objectives can be either achromatic objective or apochromatic objective.
Spectrophotometer
Переглядів 22 тис.8 місяців тому
Spectrophotometer is an instrument that measures absorbance or transmittance of light from given sample. This video describes the working of spectrophotometer and its types (single beam and double beam spectrophotometer).
Protein Kinase A

Protein kinase A is an enzyme that plays an important role in transfer of cell signal inside the cell. It is also known as cyclic AMP dependent protein kinase A.
G protein coupled receptor | GPCR
Переглядів 20 тис.10 місяців тому
G protein coupled receptor (GPCR) is also called, seven trans-membrane receptor. It acts as a signalling molecule in most of the eukaryotes. It is attached with alpha beta and gamma subunits in the cytoplasm. Upon activation the alpha subunit binds GTP and activates other cellular proteins, which acts as a cell signal.
DNA foot print assay
Переглядів 6 тис.10 місяців тому
DNA foot print assay is a technique used to find, region of DNA where a particular protein binds. The protein can be a transcription factor, enhancer or a repressor protein. For this assay the DNA segment is amplified by PCR and then labeled. The test protein is then added to the DNA fragments to be analyzed. If the protein interacts with the DNA then DNAse I enzyme will fail to digest the regi...
Liquid Chromatography | Partition chromatography
Переглядів 37 тис.11 місяців тому
Liquid Chromatography or Partition chromatography, is a chromatography technique in which, the particles of solid support are coated with a liquid stationary phase. These particles are packed in the chromatography column. When sample is loaded, it gets dissolved in the liquid stationary phase around the particles. The mobile phase is usually a solvent or mixture of solvent which does not mix ea...

Thank you so much 💖 This was very clear and helpful
Nice explain 🎉 Keep it up
very helpful, thanks mate
Best
help why is he faking the accent so hard, speak normally bro
Why do i have this randomly watched? 😨😨😨
So to bankofbiology on google search of ch ppt and voila, you have the best answer writting understanding
Thankyou
Thank you
Where can I get the notes
So clear, so good
Thank you! Cheers!
Super❤
♥️♥️
Hello sir, What do you mean by force, attraction or repulsion? And ethanol is used to remove excess salts , can you please explain it?
For the removal of salts 70% EtOH is used. So there will be 30% of water. This 30% of water will dissolve all salts resulting in their removal while DNA will still be in precipitate form.
Can you explain what is postive and negative hyperbola?
Matrix and stationary phase are same ??😢
Thanks for the great explanation!❤
Very nice explanation
Very simple, easy and helpful trick👍
now I understand! You're a great teacher :)
thanks alottt it was very helpful
Just wow❤
I am chemist with 7 year experience in Chromatography and this course is very useful simple clear and straightforward. Good job 👍
Anyone in 2024😊
Yeah
Best explaination ❤️🔥
Very well explained!!!!
Thhhhhaaaaannnnkkkss alot❤
If the more number of H+ is on the glass bulb then some H+ should be released from the other side. Isn't it?
Nicely explained❤
I have exam today 😂 in a few hour I'll be sitting for this paper 😂
Love the video, love the music
Well explained 👍🏻🤍
best explanation ever....

Its finalss n iam hereee once againn
Super clear presentation. Thank you!
Great explained
Thankyou somuch for this video ❤🎉
Thankyou somuch for this video ❤🎉
not bro faking accent
Hi there, great video. Do the proteins automatically enter the resolving gel (even without changing the voltage) or do they only enter into the resolving gel the moment the voltage is changed? Thanks!
Thankyou so much sir ❤
short and easy thank you
Thank you
Very very nice videos God bless you
It's truly very helpful to me. I am learning from this just before my exam. Lot's of love from India ❤🇮🇳
